Majestx Labrador Retrievers are bred to have correct sweet temperment,  they can go off to show careersor live life as family members, they often go hunting  both waterfowl and upland game.
Most pups leave here and become the children's best friend and a very special few will go
to be service dogs to people with special needs.
It is a big decision to add a pup to your family, they are a lot of work when they are babies, with your time and patience they will grow into wonderful members of your family but they don't get there by themselves, you must dedicate the time and patience needed.
PUPS
Majestx Labs are healthy, happy and full of mischief
The first weeks with any new pup are difficult at best,  for the first month or so your life is just not your own any more, kind of like having a baby except this baby can and will eat the furniture, your shoes and the kids I-Pods.
If you have children under five please consider getting an older dog perhaps from Labrador Rescue
Lab Rescue New England
An older dog will already be house trained, be able to walk out on a leash and will be easier on the small children in the household.
When the children are all in school full time, then consider a baby pup to add to your household.
As cute as they are they are a whole lot of work for quite a bit of time, and training is mandatory.
All Majestx Puppies are temperment tested at 49 days - for more detailed information on this proceedure
please go to PAT for details
MAJESTX Pups are sold as family companions and will have an AKC Limited Registration
All MAJESTX pups are microchipped with the AKC CAR microchip before they go home

Clearances Explained
These are the things that must be done on the parents of any pup you are considering.  Baby pups do not get clearances but the parents and grand-parents etc should have had all health clearances done and have certifications to prove evaluations done
OFA
This is a radiographic evaluation done by the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals on all breeding dogs age 24 months or older.  They will look at the hip joint conformation and the elbow joint conformation and will issue a rating of Fair - Good - Excellent or will tell you if the dog does not pass due to indications of hip or elbow joint failure.  On young dogs before the age of 24 months an evaluation can still be done and it is called a preliminary and will still be graded by OFA but is not a permanent certificate until the radiographs are re-done at 24 months
CERF
This is an eye test that is done yearly by a canine Opthamologist to clear both males and females for  the most common inherited eye diseases
Breeding dogs should be cleared every year
OPTIGEN
This is a test that is done once in the breeding dogs life to determine if the dog is (A) clear/Normal does not carry the gene to produce
PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) or (B) a carrier of the gene but is not affected or (C) affected
Breeders prefer of course to breed an A to an A but it is perfectly acceptable to breed an A to a B
A carrier is just fine and will not go blind, it is the (C) or affected gene that can cause blindness.
There are other testings done for Heart, DNA, and many other specific diseases but the three shown above are the main ones to be concerned about
